- Information: decide how readings are validated, retained, and connected with existing systems.
- Operations: plan device identification, access control, updates, monitoring, and maintenance.
Start with a focused pilot
Agree the business question, devices, and success criteria before expanding the rollout. Test the full workflow, including lost connectivity and an operator receiving an alert. Use the pilot to assess data quality, operational effort, and whether the information helps the business.
